Representation in AI Image Generation

When I decided to channel my inner Shepard Fairey and create a bold recruitment poster for a female scouting troop, I was pumped. With Microsoft CoPilot by my side, I imagined a fierce young scout ready to conquer the world. But here’s the twist: the images came back, and they were all... well, pretty one-note in the diversity department. Lesson learned—if you want inclusivity, you’ve got to shout it from the rooftops (or at least type it in the prompt). This was a wake-up call about how important it is to be clear when you want AI to reflect the world we live in—vibrant, diverse, and full of potential. Now, I’m going back to update the art and crossing my fingers I can get a similar export.
